Description
Join the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) for a viewing of the "National Teach-In on the Presidential Executive Order Banning Muslims, Immigrants and Refugees," organized by the Penn Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education

The teach-in intends to assist educators and students in answering the following questions:

  1. What are the legal and historical contexts and issues raised by these immigration policies?
  2. How are students (K-12, undergraduate, and graduate), parents, and families being affected?
  3. What rights do people have and what resources are available?
  4. What are some ways that college and university faculty, staff, and students can respond?

This will be a viewing via Google Hangouts and organizers have promised to provide ways to submit questions and comments.

Please email Jason Lee if you plan to attend, so we can make sure to provide enough space.
